Humus Kaspi
Humus Caspi is probably one of the places I’ve visited the most since I live in Tel Aviv. I’ve literally tried everything on the menu and never been disappointed by any of their dishes. I absolutely love the atmosphere with the oriental music and the fact that one of the guys who works there, has already been working there since the first time I went, which is more than 5 years ago - that must mean something!
I recommend you to go with many people and then just do it the Israeli way: put everything in the middle of the table and share. My favorite dishes are humus with mushrooms, the Kaspi burekas, malawach, tomato salad and the grilled eggplant (see pictures). The Shakshuka is good, too - a bit spicy though. You obviously get as much pita as you like and always a little plate of olives and pickles as well. Don’t forget to order the hot chocolate cake as a dessert!
I think we never payed more than 70 Shekels per person, the prices are super fair.
My alternatives for really good humus are:
Humus Eliyahu in Florentin
Humus HaCarmel on Carmel Market
Shlomo & Doron Humus in Kerem HaTeimanim
