The Lighthouse

The Lobby

The Lighthouse Hotel is one of the 6 Brown Boutique Hotels in Tel Aviv - a few more are yet to come! The building is called Migdal’Or, which means Lighthouse in Hebrew, and it’s located at the very beginning of Ben Yehuda Street in the city center, only a few minutes walk to the beach. This is one of the few hotels I know that actually share the building with other tenants, so it happens that the 100 rooms are spread to only a few floors, the others are office buildings - don’t get lost!

One of the reasons why I like this Hotel, and specifically the lobby, so much is probably because I have a thing for gold…the Argentinian architect Nestor Sandbank did an amazing job designing the interior. It’s definitely one of the most exclusive entrance areas I’ve seen in a hotel. They have a beautiful indoor dining area right next to the huge sundeck, where they serve an appealing breakfast buffet as well as some exclusive dishes from an a la carte menu.

The prices are about 200$ for a room, depending on the season. Not exactly cheap, yes, but compared to the common hotels such as Hilton, Sheraton, etc. waaaaay prettier and a lot more reasonable. When you stay here, do not miss out on a visit at Haiku Skybar next door!
