TLV Makers

TLV Makers is definitely one of those locations that will cause a “wow moment” as soon as you enter. The inside with its living room flair is so cozy that it’s kind of hard to leave. Opened in November 2018, TLV Makers soon became one of the most popular work and hangout spots for creative minds.

What first was meant to be a flower shop, is run by a trio of: Shay, who is a business man and one of the partners at Citizen Garden, Shelly, who studied architecture and designed the whole interior and Ran, who is a biological engineer and responsible for bringing in all the beautiful plants. The three together are the ones behind the concept and did a brilliant job in restoring and transforming the entire place by themselves. Therefore, what name could be more suitable than TLV Makers? Before it opened, it stood empty for 5 years - the makeover took them 2,5 months. Luckily, the trio also got help from friends, for instance with their very well designed website and the flyers that showcase the program for every upcoming month. TLV Makers is not only a coffee, flower and goodies shop, it’s also a community - they host a variety of workshops and give stage to Israeli musicians every Thursday, starting at 8:30.

The beauty of this place is that every little detail is carefully thought through. All of their small bites are vegetarian and delicious - my favorite is the batata-feta-nut quiche! I also love their chai latte and the 95% arabica coffee from Italy. Due to Shelly’s part time job as a flight attendant, you will find many influences from the whole world - the cookies are from India, the cute red pumps on the shelve are from New York City and the stylish bottles they sell are from Johannesburg. Another detail that caught my attention is the record player and the fact that it’s not only decoration but actually plays great music on vinyl. Needless to say, the interior has a lot of stories to tell!
